La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar y analizar las características narrativas y estilísticas presentes en el filme El extraño mundo de Jack (1993), con el fin de comprender cómo estos elementos contribuyen a la construcción de su identidad visual y narrativa. El problema central se formuló en los siguientes términos: ¿Cuáles son las características narrativas y estilísticas que se manifiestan en las escenas del filme? El estudio se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo y una metodología descriptiva, utilizando una guía de observación aplicada a escenas clave, especialmente aquellas que conforman su estructura dramática. Los resultados permitieron identificar y categorizar diversos recursos audiovisuales empleados a lo largo del filme. Entre los principales hallazgos, se destaca el uso de una amplia variedad de planos y elementos de puesta en escena, como la dirección de arte y el diseño de personajes, que no solo estructuran la narrativa, sino que también intensifican las emociones del protagonista. En cuanto al estilo, se evidenció un uso expresivo de la iluminación, la composición visual y el sonido, elementos esenciales para crear una atmósfera coherente con la estética gótica y fantástica de la obra. Asimismo, se observó una integración efectiva entre recursos técnicos y simbólicos, lo que refuerza de manera significativa la identidad visual y narrativa del filme, consolidando una propuesta estética singular. En conclusión, El extraño mundo de Jack (1993) logra articular de forma eficaz la relación entre forma y contenido, proyectando una identidad autoral distintiva dentro del panorama del cine animado contemporáneo |

The central question posed was as follows: What are the narrative and stylistic characteristics found in the scenes of the film? This was approached with a qualitative focus and a descriptive methodology. An observation guide was applied to analyze key scenes (dramatic structure) of the film, allowing for the identification and categorization of the audiovisual resources used. Among the main findings, it was recognized that the film uses a wide variety of shots and staging resources such as art direction and character design to structure the narrative and reinforce the protagonist's emotions. Stylistically, the expressive use of lighting, visual composition, and sound stood out as fundamental elements in creating an atmosphere consistent with the gothic and fantastic aesthetic of the work. Furthermore, an effective integration was observed between the technical and symbolic resources that reinforce the film's visual and narrative identity, solidifying a unique aesthetic proposal.
