La población está conformada por 55 mujeres recicladoras del Distrito de Huanchaco, de las cuales 21 fueron alfabetizadas y 24 no. Para el análisis de los datos se empleó tanto al estadística descriptiva como inferencial. Se utilizó el paquete estadístico SPSS versión 20 para el análisis de la información. Los resultados se presentan en tablas y figuras con su respectiva interpretación. Se concluye que al comparar los promedios obtenidos en relación al puntaje total del cuestionario de Calidad de Vida, se encontraron diferencias significativas entre las mujeres recicladoras de Huanchaco alfabetizadas y no alfabetizadas, pues T calculado fue mayor que T tabular y el valor p menor que 0.01.

The work developed with a quantitative methodology, the type of study was not experimental and the descriptive comparative design. The population is shaped by 55 women recicladoras of Huanchaco's District, of which 21 were alphabetized and 24 it were not.
