Resultados: La frecuencia de obesidad y sobrepeso pregestacional en los pacientes con y sin muerte fetal fue de 18%, 38% y 7%, 18% respectivamente. El odss ratio de obesidad y sobrepeso pregestacional en relación a muerte fetal fueron de 3.14 y 2.77 (p<0.05) los cuales fueron significativos. Los promedios de índice de masa corporal en los pacientes con y sin muerte fetal fueron 26.1 y 23.5 respectivamente (p<0.05). Conclusiones: La obesidad y el sobrepeso pregestacional son factores de riesgo asociados a muerte fetal. El promedio de indice de masa corporal es significativamente mayor en el grupo de casos con muerte fetal en comparación del grupo de controles sin muerte fetal.
