Sumario:The present investigation work " determination of the efficiency of the ~"•T•"• wetland for the of waste water treatment in the Ravine of the Sector Uchuglla crossing, of Moyobamba city" it aims to contribute to the investigation concerning the wetlands system as an alternativa treatment for wastewater and to improve environmental quality. In this way was chosen to carry out the present study of domestic wastewater discharged of the houses surrounding the ravine of the Crossing of Uchuglla sector located in the district of Moyobamba. In order to meet the proposed objectives was the construction of a treatment plant of domestic wastewater with a treatment of artificial wetlands. The evaluation of the artificial wetland with Arundo don~ (Brave cane), was made by three consecutiva months with a Q =3 m3/d belonging to the surrounding houses of crossing Uchuglla sector were obtained as results the following data with tributarias of biochemical oxygen demand of 249 mg/L and with coliforms thermo tolerant of 5689 UFC /100 mi and the effluent with a reduction of biochemical oxygen demand of 97mg/L and with coliforms thermo tolerant 1995 UFC /100 mi, reaching a removal efficiency for 61.04% of BODs and 64.93% UFC /100 mi of coliforms thermo tolerant. Finally the performance of the plant for the treatment of domestic wastewater with artificial wetlands using the species Arundo donax is a low-cost system in maintenance and complies with the maximum permissible limits that set the ministry of the environment to avoid environmental pollution.
