In Jepelacio, Moyobamba's district, San Martin department, the rice, coffee and pasture; for which uses large quantities of agrochernicals, including pesticides that cause adverse effects to human health and the ecosystem. The objective of this study was to determine the environmental impact caused by the use of agrochemicais in the agricultura! production. The environmental impact caused by the use of agrochemicals in agricultura} production was determined by identifying the type of chemical that is used by a list of checked and applied a survey designed to collect infonnation on the degree of knowledge. of the farmer~ in addition collected two soil samples to determine the persistence of the pesticide in the soil. The information obtained ís relevant to the infonnation on the impacts generated by the use of pesticides, as well as to take preventive measures in the use and handling of pesticides. eontributing to a better quality of life of the population and the environment In this experience demonstrated that the producers have little information on the effects of pesticides and. that the environmental impact is signifi.cant for the u,.~ of pesticides in agricultura] production in Jepelacio district.
