Sumario: | The following study was aimed to determine the influence of maternal perception on family and hospital factors that influence the adaptation of children under the ages of 5 years in the 11-2 Tarapoto Pediatric Hospital, from August to December 2016. This was a quantitative, prospective, cross- sectional study with a descriptive correlational design. The sample consisted of 25 children who met the inclusion criteria. The interview was used as technique and the questionnaire as a data collecting instrument. The results were: Favorable factors in child's adaptation to the hospitalization process are family (64.0%) and hospital (56%), showing a 56.0% lack of adaptation of the children to the hospitalization process (100.0%), irritability and crying (92% respectively) and rejection of the procedure and health personnel (88.0%). When applying the non-parametric chi square test we found that there is a statistically significant influence between Family Factors (X2 = 6.173; p = 0.017) and Hospitals (X2 = 5,314; p = 0.027) in the adaptation of children under 5 years of service Hospitalization of Pediatrics Hospital 11-2 Minsa - Tarapoto (p <0.05). In conclusion, the family factors (p <0.02) present a statistically significant influence with the adaptation of the child under 5 years to the hospitalization process than the hospital factors (p <0.03) |
