Sumario:The action of humans on the environment alters the ecological balance constituting a continuing threat to the existence of life on the planet. Environmental problems require presenting environmental education start from the initial level to develop in children attitudes towards the .environment through the development of a culture of ecosystern conservation and the formation of appropriate patterns of interaction between people human nature. This research called: RECYCLING AS A STRATEGY LEARNING ANO ITS INFLUENCE ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION OF CHILDREN 5 YEARS OF THE INITIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION No. 0089 DISTRICT OF RIOJA, aimed to demonstrate the influence of recycling as a teaching strategy on environmental education children 5 years of the Educational lnstitution Home No. 0089 Rioja district. The theoretical underpinning involves a significant learning theory of Ausubel, Piaget's active learning in Vygotsky's sociocultural theory and the theory of natural intelligence of Howard Gardner. The hypothesis is that recycling and teaching strategy influences the environmental education of children 5 years of the Educational lnstitution Home No. 0089 Rioja district in 2008. The sample consisted of 42 students between boys and girls, which has collected information through interviews and observation, using a questionnaire and observation form. Processing of data obtained through the comparison of means for the postest experimental control group and found that calculated z falls in the rejection region, therefore, recycling and teaching strategy influences the environmental education of children 5 years of lnitial Educational lnstitution No. 0089 Rioja district.
