Information was ordered in a database, processed and analyzed in the statistic program IBM SPSS Statistics 21. Results:Has been found 52 patients with poor glycemic control (52%) and 48 with good glycemic control (48%). Association between level Knowledge and glycemic control, Chi-square 0.306 (p=0.858). Association between Treatment adherence and glycemic control, Chi-square 1.182 (p=0.178). Conclusion:There’s no association between glycemic control, and Type 2 diabetes mellitus knowledge and Treatment adherence.

Método: Se realizó un estudio no experimental transversal correlacional, con un tamaño muestral de 100 pacientes con diagnóstico de Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2. Se usó el método estadístico Chi-cuadrado, para determinar si existe asociación entre las variables. La información fue ordenada en una base de datos, procesada y analizada en el programa estadístico IBM SPSSStatistics 21. Resultados:Se encontraron 52 pacientes con mal control glicémico (52%) y 48 con buen control glicémico (48%). Asociación entre el Nivel de conocimiento y el Control glicémico, Chi-cuadrado 0.306 (p=0.858). Asociación entre la Adherencia al tratamiento y el Control glicémico, Chi-cuadrado 1.182 (p=0.178).
