For this, we used the methodology defined daily dose (DDD), so that the quantitative assessment of this cephalosporin consumption was expressed in parameters DDD/100camas/día. It also compared the consumption of 1g ceftriaxone DDD/100camas/día expressed and studied in the comparison of costs denominated in consumption of this product recovered in the years 2007 and 2008. For the realization of this research were taken from the consumption data from the Hospital Management System HVLE, which were processed and analyzed in an Excel spreadsheet, taking as parameters the monthly-annual services.

Para lo cual, se utilizó la metodología de Dosis Diaria Definida (DDD), de manera que la evaluación cuantitativa del consumo de dicha cefalosporina se expresó en parámetros de DDD/100camas/día. Así mismo se compararon los consumos de Ceftriaxona 1g expresados en DDD/100camas/día y se realizó la comparación de costos expresados en consumo valorizado de este medicamento en los años 2007 y 2008.
