Sumario:Medicine plants contribute to solver problems about topics in health as important sources of resources which benefit our countries and societies with state management politics in long term. The purpose of this investigation was to catalogue native medicine plant species in region Ancash, Perú, made from 2006 to 2007. Through botanical explorations, longitudinal and transversal transects covered 12 provinces belong to Callejón de Huaylas and Callejón de Conchucos highlands regions. Moreover, were carried out surveys to determinate the degree of exploitation of medicine plants, as well as receive reports with regards to common names, part of plant employed and traditional uses. All this information, organized in figures and graphics, allowed to conclude that in this region grown 132 plants species, distribute in 109 genus and 55 families and according to degree of exploitation, exist plants species with the categories of “Very abundants”; 15,2 % “Abundants”; 31,9 % “Regulars”; 29,5% “Scarces” and 15.9% “Rares”.
