Sumario:The present research work has the purpose of demonstrating that the visual memory workshop improves the spelling of the letter in the students of the first grade of secondary education of the I.E. "Republic of Panama" of Trujillo in the year 2017._x000D_ The population was 34 students and the sample was 17 students as an experimental group and 17 students as a control group to whom the measuring instruments were applied._x000D_ The procedures used were those provided by statistics, starting with the construction of tables, construction of graphs and the application of the statistical test of hypothesis testing to test the research hypothesis._x000D_ It was determined in the students of the experimental group, that 82.3% of the students obtained a very good level in the post test after the application of the visual memory workshop, likewise 70.6% of students obtained a very good level in the dimension positional criteria in postest and 52.9% of them obtained a very good level in the morphological criteria dimension in the post test; finally determining that there is a significant difference between the scores obtained in the post test and those obtained in the pretest in the experimental group in the students' letter spelling levels (p <0.05), as a result of the workshop application of visual memory. The same situation occurred in the spelling dimensions of the letter (p <0.05)._x000D_ It was concluded that the workshop of visual memory significantly improves the spelling of the letter in the students of the first grade of secondary education of the I.E. "Republic of Panama" of Trujillo in the year 2017.
