To carry out the investigation, used aqueous extract at doses of 70, 80, 90g/100mL and a control (distilled water), the trial consisted of using a population of 20 individuals in 100 grams of yellow corn hard, by treatment and repetition, the evaluation was carried out for 15 days, todetermine the dose that produced the highest mortality and the LD50. The highest percentage of registered mortality was 88.3 at 90g/100mL. The analysis of variance was done through thestatistical software InfoStat, where no significant differences were found between the treatments, but if compared to the control to a 95% statistical error and to evaluate the DL50 the RStudio program was used, which was obtained as a result 44.75g/100mL,with a significance of 1%.

Para llevar a cabo la investigación, se utilizó extracto acuoso a dosis de 70, 80, 90g/100mL y un testigo (agua destilada), el ensayo consistió en usar una población de 20 individuos en 100 gramos de maíz amarillo duro, por tratamiento y repetición, la evaluación se realizó durante 15 días, para determinar la dosis que produjo mayor mortalidad y la DL50. El mayor porcentaje de mortalidad registrada fue 88.3 a 90g/100mL.
