The results found in the study period show evidence for structure paradigm efficiency for rural savings and credit in the period 2010-2014. Leverage and performing loans variables also have a significant impact as determinant of profitability of rural savings and credit in the study period.

Con el fin de lograr tal propósito se utilizó la metodología de panel de datos con efectos fijos para ocho entidades de cajas rurales durante el período 2010-2014, considerando como hipótesis de que el poder de mercado y la eficiencia influyen de manera significativa en la rentabilidad de las cajas rurales de ahorro y crédito en el período 2010-2014. Los resultados encontrados en el período de estudio muestran evidencia a favor del paradigma de estructura-eficiencia para las cajas rurales de ahorro y crédito en el período 2010-2014.
