Efectividad de la medicina herbolaria e impacto en la calidad de vida del poblador de Trujillo, la Libertad, Perú 2019

ABSTRACT The effectiveness of herbal medicine and its influence on the quality of life of the resident of the Trujillo district, in the year 2019, was determined. 96 interviews were applied based on the Health Questionnaire SF-12, v2. 62 ethnomedicinal species were invented, distributed in 62 genera and 37 families; being the Asteraceae, and Lamiaceae, the most representative. Its use value index includes: Citrus limon (L.) Osbeck (IVU=0.94), Allium sativum L. (IVU=0.92), Equisetum bogotense Kunth (IVU=0.92), Hordeum vulgare L. (IVU=0.90), Linum usitatissimum L. (IVU=0.90), Physalis peruviana L. (IVU=0.90), Cyclanthera pedata (L.) Schrad. (IVU=0.86), Desmodium molliculum (Kunth) DC. (IVU=0.83), Matricaria chamomilla L. (IVU=0.83), Bixa orellana L. (IVU=0.81), Piper aduncum L. (IVU=0.81), Clinopodium pulchellum (Kunth) Govaerts (IVU=0.81), Zingiber officinale Roscoe (IVU=0.78), Plantago major L. (IVU=0.77), Caesalpinia spinosa (Molina) Kuntze (IVU=0.76), Origanum vulgare L. (IVU=0.76), Eucalyptus globulus Labill. (IVU=0.74), Peumus boldus Molina (IVU=0.71), Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. (IVU=0.70) y Minthostachys mollis (Benth.) Griseb. (IVU=0.70). 119 ailments were described, grouped into 11 Categories, where diseases of the Systems predominate: Diseases of the reproductive system (FCI=1.0), of the nervous system (IFC=0.80), skin diseases (IFC=0.80) and System diseases respiratory, among others. It is concluded that herbal medicine is 100% effective; since they cure 58.8% and alleviate 41.2% of the population and 90.8% attribute having improved their quality of life.
