They were applied a pretest and a post test, which consisted of a test to detect the level of reading comprehension. The results obtained in the pre test of the experimental group showed that most children obtained the highest average in the literal and inferential level with 4.38 and 4.25 respectively and a lower level in the critical 2-point average, having Doman method applied the children showed a significant increase being able to obtain the highest average in the critical 9.13 level, and averages less inferential and literal level with 4.44% and 4.81% respectively. The results confirmed that the Doman method helped to significantly improve the level of Reading Comprehension of children 5 years old EI "Transcending" district of Florence de Mora, in the year 2013

The results confirmed that the Doman method helped to significantly improve the level of Reading Comprehension of children 5 years old EI "Transcending" district of Florence de Mora, in the year 2013El presente trabajo de investigación tiene el propósito de determinar sobre la influencia del “Método Doman para mejorar el nivel de Comprensión Lectora de los niños de 5 años de edad de la I.E. “Trascender” del distrito de Florencia de Mora, en al año 2013”. Para realizar esta investigación se tomó una muestra de 32 niños y niñas distribuidos en dos grupos: grupo experimental y grupo control. Todos ellos se les aplicó un pre test y un post test, el cual estuvo constituido por una prueba para detectar su nivel de comprensión lectora. Los resultados obtenidos en el pre test del grupo experimental, mostró que la mayoría de los niños y niñas obtuvieron el mayor promedio en el nivel literal e inferencial con 4.38 y 4.25 respectivamente y un promedio menor en el nivel crítico con 2 puntos, luego de haber aplicado el Método Doman los niños y niñas mostraron un incremento muy significativo logrando obtener el mayor promedio en el nivel crítico con 9.13, y promedios menores en el nivel inferencial y literal con 4.44% y 4.81% respectivamente.
