Sumario:The research is aimed to design and implement a management model to assess and improve the performance of administrative employees who works in the organizational units of the National University of Trujillo - Perú. The research responds to strategic objectives of the Institutional Development Plan 2012 – 2024. The model is participative and quantitative: Workers themselves are involved in the design and implementation of the model which begins with the identification of the critical factors for the fulfillment of the mission of their organizational unit. Then, indicators for factors are proposed and charts are building relating the values of indicators with percentages of work efficiency. In the office of Industrial Engineering School, improvements in work performance were found due to motivation provided by the knowledge of the performance results, the self-assessment and the application of improvement initiatives.
