Sumario:This qualitative research was conducted ethnographic path in the Hospital District of Vista Alegre district of Victor Larco Herrera , Trujillo Province , aiming to describe , interpret , identify and analyze the phenomenon of the experiences of patients with TB disease lung . The number of research participants was constituted with 08 key informants who were respectively conducted the interview , which was recorded . It also took field notes to supplement the data . The analysis of the discourses identified nine cultural domains , with the benchmark basically Spradley (1979) and Leininger ( 1985), for its theoretical and methodological approach in explanations " emic " and " etic Also did the theme: "Hiding tuberculosis disease , that it is difficult to live " divided into three sub-themes , which allowed us to know the phenomenon of the experiences of the patient with pulmonary TB disease ; expressing their experiences, feelings and fears in the process of adaptation and acceptance of the disease, in which the evidence is not wanting other people beyond their confidence with knowledge about their disease , as a way to protect the social stigma , for health and disease live in the mind and body as life event . It was a conceptual approach after show feelings, opinions and expressions in relation to the phenomenon , linked to values, behaviors and attitudes of the patient , where the patient's behavior against tuberculosis disease , is closely related to their culture , allowing you to build day by day lifestyle brand building a social and family changes his life and gives a new meaning to their existence
