Sumario:The objective of this observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was to determine the degree of cross-infection control in dental technicians working in the Trujillo-La Libertad Province, 2021.The sample consisted of 50 dental technicians of both genders, who met the selection criteria, 11 technicians have a professional practice time of less than 3 years, 24 technicians from 4 to 7 years and 15 technicians greater than 7 years; where 37 technicians correspond to the district of Trujillo and 13 technicians belong to other districts. The measurement instrument that was obtained to evaluate the dental technicians was the questionnaire-type survey validated by expert judgment. The results showed that the degree of cross-infection control was 36% excellent, 52% moderate and 12% critical. According to the time of professional exercise; under 3 years old, from 4 to 7 years old and over 7 years old report a "Moderate" degree with 72.7%, 45.8% and 46.7% respectively. According to the district they work; in El Porvenir 66.7% needed the "Critical" grade, in La Esperanza, Trujillo and Víctor Larco reported a "Moderate" grade with 75%, 54.1% and 66.7% respectively and Florencia de Mora there was no predominant (33.3%) . The data collected was analyzed using the Pearson Chi Square Non-Parametric Test. It was concluded that the degree of cross-infection control in dental technicians working in the Trujillo La Libertad Province, 2021, was Moderate (52%). According to the time of professional practice and the district where they work, it was concluded that there is no significant statistical relationship.
