This thesis report has been made in order to meet the "social, emotional and cognitive needs that influence the Family Welfare of hospitalized patients in the Intensive Care Unit at the National Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo Hospital - RAL in the 2015 ". Throughout the research was done using descriptive design; and to obtain the results we worked with a total of 36 relatives who have their patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit. For the gathering of study information it was necessary to make a thorough review of various documentaries to understand the subject under study sources, concepts that frame the subject and have a guide through the various research work carried out in previous years. Likewise it was essential to make use of qualitative research techniques (such as observation and interview) and quantitative techniques (such as questionnaire survey); such techniques and instruments were valuable to translate the information collected and contrast with the hypotheses. Through the statistical method he was reached to have clarity of reality that is the study group, demonstrating the emergence of social, emotional and cognitive needs in each of the families with a hospital in the Service Unit patient Intensive care (in the intervention group), a situation that leads to family imbalance, which is reflected in the support given to hospitalized patients. It is important to understand the relevance of this study, considering the family as a unit of care, which justifies know what the specific needs of families are during the patient in ICU to help them and meet their needs; thus they may provide patients hospitalized adequate support.
