It is a study of qualitative nature, with historical boarding and dialectic approach. The study object is the process of Creation of the Infirmary Faculty of the National Jorge Basadre Grohmann University of Tacna, 1984 - 1991, whose objectives are: to describe the circumstances of the Creation of the Infirmary Faculty of Tacna; to analyze the process of su creation, and discuss the participation of the social actor in the process of Creation of the Faculty. In this work has been made a description, analysis and discussion of the past and memory worthy events. The historical plot was of 7 years but it began 16 years ago to legal devices and the social exigencies of the population, a social movement was formed, with the participation of many social subjects that of one and another way collaborated so that this dream of the nurses becomes reality, and for the professional futures of infirmary are withdrawn of the university of the same city. The primary sources of the investigation were documents written originated of the archives of the University, the Infirmary Faculty, own documents and of other people of that time and interviews with 12 social actors who participated in these historical events. For the analysis and discussion of the data was used like theoretical support to Alain Touraine, Erich Kahler. This work obtained three phases, Agreement of Cooperation and Connection between the University and the Ministry of Health for the School of Infirmary, Incorporation of the Faculty from Infirmary to the University, Creation of the Faculty of Infirmary.
