The present investigation was carried out in the District Municipality of Cochorco, whose general objective was to base on how the application of Law No. 30057 - Civil Service Law affects the work performance of the servers of the District Municipality of Cochorco, province of Sánchez Carrión, year 2016. The problem posed was: How did the application of Law No. 30057 with respect to the methodology, a non-experimental investigation of causal correlational transactional design was developed; The population was formed by the 44 servers of the District Municipality of Cochorco, constituting at the same time as the sample as this is a relatively small entity; As for the data collection, the survey technique was applied, the questionnaire being its respective instrument; Additionally, the documentary review and evaluation form were used. The main result is that the current performance of the public servants of the municipality qualifies at a normal level; As for the implementation of the Civil Service Law, no process has yet been done, and most of the staff are unaware of that law. One of the most outstanding conclusions is that, according to various studies and the results obtained, the application of Law No. 30057 directly affects the work performance of the servers of the District Municipality of Cochorco, because when applying good administrative practices, the institution will increase the levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
