For data collection, two instruments were applied: "Nursing care observation guide" and "Adverse event registry guide". The data obtained were tabulated, processed and presented in single and double entry tables with numerical and percentage frequencies. Concluding that 22.2% presented adverse events and 38.9% receive a lower quality care. Observing that there is a significant relationship between both variables (p = 0.0495)

La muestra estuvo constituida por 36 pacientes y por 8 enfermeras, teniendo en cuenta los criterios de inclusión. Para la recolección de datos se aplicaron dos instrumentos: “Guía de observación del cuidado de enfermería” y “Guía de registro de eventos adversos”. Los datos obtenidos fueron tabulados, procesados y presentados en tablas simple y doble entrada con frecuencias numéricas y porcentuales. Concluyendo que el 22.2% presentó eventos adversos y el 38.9% recibe un cuidado de menor calidad.
