This descriptive, correlational cross-sectional research work was carried out in the Intensive Care Unit Service of Hospital III EsSalud Chimbote, with the aim of knowing the relationship between nursing care and adverse events presented in the Intensive Care Unit, the sample consisted of 36 patients and 8 nurses, taking into account the inclusion criteria. For data collection, two instruments were applied: "Nursing care observation guide" and "Adverse event registry guide". The data obtained were tabulated, processed and presented in single and double entry tables with numerical and percentage frequencies. Concluding that 22.2% presented adverse events and 38.9% receive a lower quality care. Observing that there is a significant relationship between both variables (p = 0.0495)

El presente estudio de tipo epidemiológico descriptivo, tiene por objetivo conocer el perfil Epidemiológico de la contaminación acústica del Distrito de Nuevo Chimbote, 2015. La población estuvo constituida por 9 puntos de calles generadores de ruido. Los niveles sonoros se midieron utilizando un sonómetro portátil con filtro de atenuación A y respuesta lenta. Las medidas se realizaron en tres horarios del día: 7:00–8:00, 12:00–13:00 y de 19:00–20:00 hrs. El análisis se realizó en software especializado Epiinfo, llegándose a las siguientes conclusiones: Los puntos de mayor contaminación acústica del Distrito de Nuevo Chimbote, son: Av. Pacifico–Ovalo de la Familia (73.7 dBA) y, la Av. Brasil y Av. Universitaria (73.3 dBA), siendo el menor Av. Pacífico y Av. Anchoveta 60.0 dBA. En el horario de 7:00 a 8:00 horas los puntos de Av.
