Caracterización morfológica interna de la raíz mesiovestibular de primeros molares superiores permanentes en pacientes del Área de Tomografía Oral y Maxilofacial de la Universidad Nacional San Luis Gonzaga, 2015 - 2019

Describir las características de la morfología interna de la raíz mesiovestibular de primeros molares superiores permanentes en pacientes del Área de Tomografía Oral y Maxilofacial de la Universidad Nacional San Luis Gonzaga de Ica durante los años 2015- 2019. Se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, observacional, no experimental, transversal, retrospectivo, descriptiva. La muestra estuvo representada por 207 piezas dentarias obtenidas de la base de datos tomográfico del Área de Tomografía Oral y Maxilofacial de la Universidad Nacional San Luis Gonzaga durante los años 2015-2019 mediante el software ONDEMAND3D y fue analizada con las prueba estadístico T y el ANOVA, con un intervalo de confianza del 95% y un nivel de significancia del 5%. El segundo conducto mesiovestibular se presentó en 80.68%, el conducto MV1 como único se halló en 18.36% y el tercer conducto en 0.96%; de las piezas dentarias con presencia del conducto MV2, 49.76% fueron del género femenino y 30.92% del género masculino, hubo 58.94% de prevalencia en el rango de edad de 20-40 años, el conducto MV1 y MV2 presentaron una prevalencia de 55.3% y 51.5% en el lado izquierdo. Las longitudes medias de los conductos MV1, MV2 y MV3 fueron más frecuentes en masculinos con 10.80 mm, 10.42 mm y 11.23 mm respectivamente y también en edades de 20-40 años con valores de 10.59 mm, 10.23 mm y 11.23 mm. La distancia media entre los conductos MV1-MV2 fue de 1.23 mm con prevalencia en el género masculino, la distancia media entre los conductos MV1-MV2 y MV1-MV3 fue más frecuente en el grupo de 41-80 años con 1.29 mm y 1.57 mm respectivamente, la distancia media entre los conductos MV1-MV2 así como de MV1-MV3 fueron más frecuentes en el lado izquierdo (1.23 mm y 1.39 mm respectivamente). Algunas características morfológicas internas de la raíz mesiovestibular de primeros molares superiores permanentes presentaron variabilidad respecto al sexo, edad y lateralidad con diferencias significativas. ----- To describe the characteristics of the internal morphology of the mesiobuccal root of the first permanent upper molars in patients of the Oral and Maxillofacial Tomography Area of the San Luis Gonzaga National University of Ica during the years 2015-2019. A quantitative, observational, non-experimental, cross-sectional, retrospective, descriptive approach was used. The sample was represented by 207 dental pieces obtained from the tomographic database of the Oral and Maxillofacial Tomography Area of the San Luis Gonzaga National University during the years 2015- 2019 using the ONDEMAND3D software and was analyzed with the T statistical test and ANOVA. ,with a confidence interval of 95% and a significance level of 5%. The second mesiobuccal duct was present in 80.68%, the MV1 duct as the only one was found in 18.36% and the third duct in 0.96%; Of the teeth with the presence of the MV2 duct, 49.76% were female and 30.92% male, there was a 58.94% prevalence in the age range of 20-40 years, the MV1 and MV2 duct presented a prevalence of 55.3% and 51.5% on the left side. The mean lengths of the MV1, MV2 and MV3 ducts were more frequent in males with 10.80 mm, 10.42 mm and 11.23 mm respectively and also in ages 20-40 years with values of 10.59 mm, 10.23 mm and 11.23 mm. Some internal morphological characteristics of the mesiobuccal root of permanent maxillary first molars presented variability regarding sex, age and laterality with significant differences (p<0.05).
