Establecer el valor terapéutico potencial y el valor terapéutico añadido de los medicamentos más vendidos en una oficina farmacéutica privada. Estudio cuantitativo. Diseño no experimental, descriptivo, transversal. Muestra: Cincuenta medicamentos más vendidos por la oficina farmacéutica privada durante el primer semestre del año 2023: Unidad de análisis: Medicamentos dispensados en el semestre de análisis y consignados en los reportes oficiales del Establecimiento farmacéutico. Técnica: Investigación documental; reportes de ventas, formularios o guías terapéuticas nacionales e internacionales. Según grupo fármaco-terapéutico, los que presentan mayor valor son los antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (M01A) antihistamínicos para uso sistémico (R06A), representan el 10 % cada uno. Otros grupos importantes con un 8 % se presenta en H02A: Corticosteroides para uso sistémico y N02B: otros analgésicos y antipiréticos. El 70 % de los medicamentos estudiados son de valor elevado, el 10 % presentan un valor relativo, y un 20 % presentan un valor dudoso/nulo, considerando la clasificación cualitativa de Laporte et al. El valor añadido se determinó según inclusión en los listados o guías farmacoterápeuticas nacionales o internacionales de referencia, Son treinta y cinco los medicamentos de valor elevado, de ellos el 42,9 % (15 medicamentos) presentan un valor elevado significativo, el 31,4 % presentan un valor razonable y uno de ellos (2,9 %) presenta un valor moderado. ----- To establish the potential therapeutic value and added therapeutic value of the bestselling medications in a private pharmacy office. Quantitative study. Non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional design. Sample: The fifty best-selling medications by the private pharmacy office during the first half of 2023. Unit of analysis: Medications dispensed during the analysis period and recorded in the official reports of the pharmacy establishment. Technique: Documentary research; sales reports, national and international therapeutic forms or guides. According to pharmacotherapeutic group, the ones with the greatest value are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (M01A) and systemic antihistamines (R06A), each representing 10%. Other important groups, each with 8%, are H02A: Corticosteroids for systemic use and N02B: Other analgesics and antipyretics. Seventy percent of the studied medications are of high value, 10% have relative value, and 20% have doubtful or no value, according to the qualitative classification by Laporte et al. The added value was determined based on inclusion in national or international reference pharmacotherapeutic lists or guides. Thirty-five medications are of high value, of which 42.9% (15 medications) have significant high value, 31.4% have reasonable value, and one (2.9%) has moderate value.
