Estrés y desempeño del personal de salud en el Hospital II-I Contamana 2023

In order to analyze the connection between stress and staff effectiveness at Hospital II-I Contamana 2023, a correlational and applied study was carried out, without any experimentation, in which 139 workers were surveyed. The findings demonstrated a high level of stress (42%), mainly due to excessive workload and lack of sufficient staff to cover the needs of the service. On the other hand, the performance of the staff was evaluated as high (40%), although some deficiencies related to the selection and training process and dissatisfaction in economic terms were pointed out. It was concluded that there is a significant inverse relationship between both variables, since the correlation coefficient of -0.867 indicates that as stress increases, the performance of health personnel decreases. The statistical significance of 0.000 supports this conclusion. In summary, it was identified that work stress and staff performance are closely interrelated.
