Sumario: | The research presented here proposes to answer the following question: What is the relationship between the level of reading comprehension and the learning problems of secondary school students at I.E. Elzeario Mac Donald, Pebas 2024, where the main objective is also to determine the relationship between the level of reading comprehension and the learning problems of secondary school students at I. E. Elzeario Mac Donald, Pebas 2024. This is complemented with the general hypothesis that answers if there is a relationship between the level of reading comprehension and the level of learning problems in the students of the secondary level of the I.E. Elzeario Mac Donald, Pebas 2024. The methodology belongs to the quantitative approach because it is appropriate to measure magnitudes and test hypotheses. The type of research was descriptive and the design was correlational. The purpose of this type of study is to determine the relationship or degree of association between two or more concepts. The selected population consisted of 260 students and a sample of 57 male and female students of the secondary level of the Elzeario Mac Donald Educational Institution, district of Pebas, and the survey was used as a technique and instrument, respectively, to obtain data, both were supported by the validation of experts. As a main result, it tells us that the correlation coefficient (rho = .336) which refers that the relationship between the variables is positive and of weak degree (rho > .20) which indicates a better reading comprehension, presents a low relationship in which the students perceive a high level of learning problems. The highest percentage is found in the medium level of reading comprehension of 52.6%, which is significantly related to the good level of learning problems, with 43.9% in high school students of the educational institution Elzeario Mac Donald. |
