Sumario: | In recent years we have faced a significant increase in cases of domestic violence in the departments of Peru, according to data from the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Population, there have been 93 191 cases of domestic violence in 2020, in this context the National Program for Prevention and Eradication of Violence against Women and Family Group Members – Aurora, is the main program used by the state to prevent and eradicate this social problem. This study has a purpose to determine the effectiveness of this program in the district of Iquitos, and to determine the socioeconomic factors that influence the decrease in violence, this is done through a methodology of a non-experimental nature, quantitative and of causal design, specifically a logistic regression model is used in a sample of 9 124 individuals, in which we have as a result that participated in the AURORA program decreases the probability of being a victim of violence by 7.6%, demonstrating the effectiveness of this program; On the other hand, we see that economic factors are the ones that most influence the probability of suffering violence, putting a great focus on reducing economic and social inequalities from a multisectoral perspective to reduce cases of violence, although there is also a component of focus on violence gender that we must continue to raise awareness to reduce violence, since the results show that women are 1.2% more likely to suffer violence than men. |
