Sumario:The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between environmental attitudes and behavior in the use of water in students of the Faculty of Agronomy, of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. The information was collected from the primary source through a survey structured with the Likert scale, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.81 reliability coefficient, 30 students of the engineering career in environmental management were interviewed. In the environmental attitude indicators, the students express regular at very good levels (around 40.0%), the most relevant indicators are environmental education campaigns, recycling programs, management and care of water sources (as very important 82.5 %), use of rainwater (very good 72.5). In environmental behavior, students express good behavioral levels with the indicators waste of drinking water (85.0%) prevent a lot to quite a lot, saving drinking water (92.5% turn off the tap while doing their personal toilets), use less detergents to contribute with the conservation of rivers (40.0%), use of batteries and other toxic products (65.0% avoid throwing them in the garbage bag), damaged keys or faucets (57.5% take little time to be repaired), the participation of students in environmental activities and campaigns on the care and importance of water is moderate. It is concluded that there is a relationship between the environmental attitudes and the environmental behavior of the students of the engineering career in environmental management, demonstrating that they have a good predisposition to contribute to environmental education, the majority express climate awareness and responsibility in relation to the care of the environment.
