Descripción
Sumario:The objective was to evaluate and compare structural and floristic characteristics in two secondary areas of agricultural and livestock activities in Zungarococha, as well as identify and classify species of floristic composition according to their use. The study was carried out in rectangular plots where structural and floristic parameters were collected via inventory. The results show that the composition in agricultural and grassland areas were characterized by the dominance of few tree species, where richness was greater in the grassland area compared to the agricultural area, however, the rarefaction curve and the diversity index did not shows significant difference between the two types of vegetation. Furthermore, the forest structure, which considers density, dominance and frequency of species, indicates that the two areas present quite similar horizontal structural characteristics, which were represented by few typical colonizing species. The floristic potential in the two areas is characterized by the dominance of timber species for firewood and sawmills, however, others such as fruitful, medicinal, and ornamental species were identified in a lower proportion. Furthermore, more than 25% of the species did not have any direct use benefits identified, being considered ecological potential in the supply of food for fauna, so the value of these environments is related to the management and conservation of biodiversity.
