The mortality of C. odorata plants was caused mainly by the attack of Hypsipyla grandela. The highest number of seedlings is presented by the GOOD quality with 48 seedlings representing 70.6% of the total number of live plants, followed by the REGULAR quality with 16 living individuals representing 23.5% and, finally, the least number of individuals. they were observed in BAD quality with 4 seedlings that represented 5.9% of the total. The quality coefficient indicates that the plantation of C. odorata varies from Regular to Excellent. It is necessary to carry out similar studies with other native forest species in CIEFOR - Puerto Almendra

It is necessary to carry out similar studies with other native forest species in CIEFOR - Puerto AlmendraEl presente estudio fue realizado en la Parcela forestal Nº 17 de la especie C. odorata, el cual fue instalada el año 2020 mediante un sistema de plantación bajo dosel en fajas en el CIEFOR – Puerto Almendra. El incremento promedio en diámetro fue 3,80 mm, mientras que el incremento promedio en altura fue 48,98 cm. La plantación C. odorata presentó 68 plantas vivas (34% de sobrevivencia) y 132 plantas muertas (66% de mortalidad). La mortalidad de las plantas de C. odorata fue ocasionada principalmente por el ataque de Hypsipyla grandela. La mayor cantidad de plántulas se registró en la categoría de calidad BUENO, con 48 individuos, lo que corresponde al 70,6% del total de plantas vivas. Le sigue la categoría REGULAR, con 16 plántulas vivas, que representan el 23,5%, mientras que la menor cantidad se encontró en la categoría MALO, con 4 individuos, equivalente al 5,9% del total. El coeficiente de calidad sugiere que la plantación de C. odorata varía entre las categorías Regular y Excelente.
