This research aims to analyze the presumed relationship between the growth rates of private savings and public investment, this is done with the objective of technically validating whether a greater public investment leads to better macroeconomic conditions that allow to encourage the savings capacity of the population. In this sense, the appropriate statistical and econometric methods are used to demonstrate the possible relationship between such study variables. The results of the calculated linear regression model reflect that if public investment grows by 1 percent, this leads to an increase of 0.02 percentage points for the private savings of the region, this estimated value is significant at 95 percent confidence level. In this way, it is verified that private savings and public investment are directly related.
