Sumario:The objective of the study was to determine the association between maternal perinatal risk factors and neonatal mortality in the Regional Hospital of Loreto, Iquitos 2022. The type of study was epidemiological, observational, retrospective; the study design was case-control, the sample consisted of 180 neonates born. A registry card was used for data collection. The Odds Ratio (OR) with 95% confidence level (0.95) and 5% significance level (0.05) was used to contrast the hypothesis. The results obtained on maternal risk factors were as follows: 81.7% (84), were older, 92.2% (119), were less educated, 50.6% (91), had euthyroid delivery, 66.1% (119), were multigestational, 58.3% (105), had uncontrolled prenatal control; perinatal risk factors were as follows; 53.9% (97) were male, 55.6% (100) had inadequate gestational age, 53.9% (97) had inadequate birth weight, 62.8% (113) had normal APGAR score, 89.4% (161) had pathologies: gestational age (OR= 5.231), birth weight (OR=4.445), APGAR score (OR=2.776), presence of pathologies (OR=4.786), with neonatal mortality. The results of the study concluded that there was only an association with perinatal risk factors at the Regional Hospital of Loreto.
