| Sumario: | This thesis had as its general objective the repowering and automation of a multipurpose mixing equipment, which consisted of: 3 hoppers, 1 reservoir tank, 1 mixing and heating tank, and 6 actuators (3 solenoid valves, 1 pump, 1 agitator, and 1 heater). To achieve this objective, a PLC Zelio Logic SR2 B201 FU was implemented on the mixing equipment, on which a control circuit was programmed using Zelio Soft2 V5.4.2. The physical inputs and outputs used from the PLC were: 12 inputs and 6 physical outputs. The pump, agitator, three solenoid valves, and heater were connected to physical outputs Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, and Q6, respectively. Data transfer between a PC and the PLC was performed using a communication interface, which has two ports: COM and USB, connected to the PLC and PC, respectively. The population consisted of all elements of the control circuit, which were: 20 contacts, 6 physical outputs, 3 timers, 1 marker and 1 counter; resulting in a population size of 31. The sample was chosen by the researchers' criteria and represented the 6 physical outputs. When the control circuit was executed, it was observed that the actuators turned on and off according to the specifications made in the control circuit design, thus achieving the general objective and proving the general hypothesis. |
