| Sumario: | The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the knowledge and practice of self-medication for COVID-19 in adults aged 18 to 75 years of both sexes treated at the IPRESS I-2 Fernando Lores in Iquitos, 2021. The type of research It was quantitative, non-experimental and correlational in design, the population was 250 people and the sample was 151 people. The technique was the interview and the instruments were two questionnaires: self-medication knowledge questionnaire for COVID-19, which had 96.67% validity and 94.0% reliability, and the self-medication practice questionnaire for COVID-19 with a validity of 90.0% and a reliability of 88.0%. The study determined that knowledge about Self-medication for COVID-19 was incorrect with 94.0% and correct with 6.0%; self-medication for COVID-19 is severe 72.2%, moderate 22.5% and mild 5.3%. When applying the Chi Square, significant results were obtained for the relationship between both variables (X 2=13.123; gl=2; p=0.001). The study concludes that there is a relationship between the knowledge and practice of self-medication for COVID-19 in adults treated at the IPRESS I-2 Fernando Lores in Iquitos. |
