Sumario:The research evaluated the impact of garlic and ginger as growth promoters on the productive performance of improved landraces. Given the growing demand for natural alternatives to antibiotics, the effect of different concentrations of these additives on parameters such as weight, feed conversion and feed efficiency was studied. The general objective was to determine the efficacy of garlic and ginger in improving the growth of native birds. A completely randomized experimental design was used with 5 treatments and 100 birds, distributed in groups according to different concentrations of the growth promoters. The main results showed that the use of garlic and ginger significantly improves the final weight of the birds and feed conversion. Treatments with higher concentrations of garlic and ginger resulted in greater weight gain compared to the control group. Garlic had a more noticeable effect on weight gain, while ginger improved feed efficiency. In conclusion, both promoters proved to be viable alternatives to antibiotics in poultry production, promoting healthy and sustainable growth. Its use is suggested to improve productive performance in natural rearing systems. Future research could also explore other concentrations or combinations of these promoters to further optimize the results.
