Descripción
Sumario:A quantitative study was conducted with a non-experimental design and correlational scope. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sociodemographic factors (age, gender, educational level, marital status, income, religious beliefs) and family history of cancer in relation to the acceptance of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The sample consisted of 75 parents or guardians, and data were collected using two forms. The findings indicated that 54.7% of participants did not consent to vaccination for their minors, while 45.3% did. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between all variables evaluated and HPV vaccine acceptance. These results underscore the need to strengthen HPV vaccination awareness campaigns from the educational perspective. Likewise, it is suggested that such initiatives consider the identified factors, given that they directly influence the decision of parents or legal guardians regarding vaccination.
