Sumario: | The research was developed under a quantitative approach. Being the city of Iquitos, the city selected for the study. This includes the districts: Iquitos, Belén, San Juan and Punchana, with a population of 310,630 people. The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the perception of urban cycling and sustainable development in the city of Iquitos. For this, the road users (pedestrian, cyclist, bus driver, motorcycle driver, and motorcycle driver) were characterized. The instrument for obtaining the information was determined by surveys, interviews and existing documentary analysis. The validity and reliability of the instruments was worked with the Delphi method (Expert Judgment) with a value of 100% and with a Cronbach's alpha of value (0.89). The results achieved on the perception of users regarding urban cycling is 38.18% in denial, which was due to the deficient cycling infrastructure, road education, lack of information in the public about the legislation on urban cycling, having results greater than 66 % with respect to sustainable development in the total number of users, concluding in the acceptance of the relationship between these two variables; therefore, it is inferred the need to invest in road education, with the aim of promoting a better understanding of the law and a broader critical vision in actions and empathic attitudes as road users, this leads to improving the awareness approach regarding the use of the bicycle in the city of Iquitos as well as generating tools adapted to our Amazonian reality for sustainable and efficient transport management. |
