University bus drivers at UNAP are exposed to adverse ergonomic factors that affect their musculoskeletal health. This research aims to analyze the main ergonomic factors impacting the health of these workers, with an emphasis on the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders. Based on previous studies on transportation ergonomics, inadequate postures, exposure to vibrations, and poor seat design are identified as the main risks. The methodology included the Nordic Questionnaire and ergonomic evaluations using the REBA method on a sample of UNAP drivers. The results reveal that 71.4% of the drivers suffer from lower back pain, with a high prevalence of chronic discomfort. A significant correlation was identified between seat comfort and pain intensity. It is concluded that poor ergonomics in university buses contributes to the high incidence of musculoskeletal disorders. It is recommended to improve seat design, optimize suspension systems, and promote active breaks to mitigate risks and enhance the drivers' quality of life.
