Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this study was to explain the influence of factors associated with the digital competence of English teachers in public secondary schools in the city of Iquitos 2021. This explanatory study employed a contemporary cross-sectional, multivariable field design. The population consisted of 268 teachers, with a sample of 128 teachers. Data was collected using a validated and reliable Lickert scale questionnaire. The results revealed that the mean score for factors associated with teacher digital competence was 84,6 out of 100. Similarly, the mean score for its dimensions were as follows: Attitude toward technology 86.1, perception of technology 85.42, and capacity for innovation 76.8. Teacher digital competence itself had a mean of 77.8, with subcategories including: Information and information literacy 78.6, Communication and collaboration of digital content 76.7, creation of digital content, Security 76.6, and problem solving 80.7. The study concluded that the associated factors do not significantly influence digital competence among English teachers in public secondary schools in the city of Iquitos 2021, (r=0.001 wp-value.0.256 > α = 0.05). Given the absence of correlation, regression analysis was deemed unnecessary to determine the influence.
