| Sumario: | The objective was to determine the relationship between predisposing factors and the onset of alcohol consumption in adolescents from the Simón Bolívar Human Settlement, Iquitos 2022. The study was quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional; The population consisted of 100 adolescents of both sexes. The interview technique was used and the instruments were: a questionnaire with validity (93.88%) and the Rosemberg self-esteem scale (reliability 80%). The results obtained were: mean age 15.0 years, female 53%, male 47%; student occupation 87%, work 9%, study and work 4%; from peri-urban areas 82%, urban 9%, rural 9%; economic income low 44%, medium 42%, high 14% ; medium self-esteem level 46%, high 39%, low 15%; not in search of pleasure 70%, in search of pleasure 30%; need for social approval 67%, no social approval 33%; their parents consume alcohol 69%, do not consume alcohol 31%; family communication 54%, no family communication 46%; Type of nuclear family 44%, extended 31%, single-parent 19%, reconstituted 6%. 60% of adolescents did not initiate alcohol consumption and 40% did initiate. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between: age (p=0.003), occupation (p= 0.047); economic income (p= 0.006); pleasure seeking (p= 0.000); social approval (p= 0.000); parental alcohol consumption (p= 0.000) with the adolescent's onset of alcohol consumption. |
