Descripción
Sumario:It is a descriptive experimental study with a pre-test - post-test design, with the aim of evaluating the level of knowledge in environmental topics in children aged 6 to 10 years from the Gabriela Núñez and San Juan de Padre Cocha communities in 2023. The sample size is 15 children in each community and five (05) face-to-face workshops were developed on five (05) topics with formal and practical knowledge of environmental health. The data were collected with surveys, which were ordered and processed for their analysis and interpretation, with descriptive statistics and SPSS 26 to perform the normality test and determine the use of the Wilcoxon test to contrast the hypothesis, concluding that despite the rigorous implementation of the workshops in both study groups, the communities “Gabriela Núñez” and “San Juan de Padre Cocha”, present high positive ranges, which indicates that the children have benefited from the development of these, it is also shown with ties and negative ranges, which indicates that more than half of the children have been indifferent or have not understood the concepts of the workshop. The environmental health program has had a positive response and has allowed improving and increasing environmental awareness, contributing to the development of environmental awareness in the new generations of the communities “Gabriela Núñez” and “San Juan de Padre Cocha”, so the alternate hypothesis of the study is accepted.
