| Sumario: | The overarching aim of this study was to determine the relationship between family social climate and self-concept among secondary-school students at IE No. 60083 Chimbote de Ramón Castilla during 2024, using a quantitative, non-experimental correlational design. The sample consisted of 252 students who completed validated questionnaires. Results revealed a significant positive correlation between family social climate and self-concept (Pearson r = 0.906), indicating that a favorable family environment is associated with higher levels of self-concept. Likewise, the dimensions of relationships (r = 0.656), development (r = 0.648), and stability (r = 0.594) also exhibited significant positive correlations with self-concept, suggesting that better family relations, adequate developmental support, and greater stability contribute to strengthening students’ self-concept. In conclusion, the findings indicate that family social climate exerts a direct and significant impact on students’ self-concept, underscoring the importance of fostering a positive home environment that enhances adolescents’ emotional well-being and academic performance. |
