| Sumario: | Due to the spread of COVID-19, which began on December 31, 2019, in Wuhan, China, the virus quickly spread, causing numerous deaths. In response, many countries adopted drastic measures, such as restricting freedom of movement, although infections continued to rise. Healthcare systems collapsed, exposing shortages in personnel and infrastructure. Despite this, humanity made efforts to protect itself, and thanks to the work of scientists, the impact was mitigated. In Peru, the first case was reported on March 6, 2020, and since then, the State has implemented various measures to confront the pandemic. As a result of this situation, public and private institutions suspended their activities due to the government-imposed quarantine, generating great uncertainty, especially among self-employed workers, since their income depends on daily labor. In response, measures such as bonus payments were implemented to encourage people to stay at home. Even so, many public and private sector workers were laid off, and the economy suffered greatly. Child support proceedings are linked to the right and obligation to provide support. In the case of minors, the state of need is presumed, so the judge does not require proof of expenses. However, if the child is of legal age, the need must be proven, either because they are successfully studying or due to a physical or psychological condition that prevents them from earning an income. |
