Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this research is to explain the prevalence of Quechua in Amazonian Spanish, in lexical, semantic and morphological aspects. The population and sample were made up of 1,232 first-level students from all majors at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP). The type of research used was descriptive research, because it describes the extent to which the Quechua language prevails in Amazonian Spanish. The results reveal that the prevalence is predominantly “low”, representing 80.0% of the sample. Likewise, a “moderate” prevalence is observed at 17.7%, while “high” and “very low” prevalence constitute 1.9% and 1.0%, respectively. While the results in the lexical aspect reveal that it is “low”, representing 74.3% of the total sample. In addition, a “moderate” prevalence of 19.9% is observed, while the categories of "Very low", "High" and "Very high" constitute 3.0%, 2.7% and 0.2%. respectively. In the semantic aspect, the results describe that the prevalence is “low”, representing 70.9% of the total sample. In addition, a “moderate” prevalence of 23.6% is observed, while the categories of "Very low", "High" and "Very high" constitute 1.8%, 3.4% and 0.2%. respectively. In the morphological aspect, the results show that the prevalence is “low”, covering 57.7% of the total sample. In addition, a “moderate” prevalence of 8.7% is observed, while the categories of "Very low", "High" and "Very high" constitute 30.7%, 2.8% and 0.1%. respectively. This result shows us that the user of Amazonian Spanish makes use of Quechua words in everyday communication, but cannot precisely identify which original language it belongs to, much less explain the structure of the terms used in their everyday communication.
