The objective of this research is to explain the prevalence of Quechua in Amazonian Spanish, in lexical, semantic and morphological aspects. The population and sample were made up of 1,232 first-level students from all majors at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP). The type of research used was descriptive research, because it describes the extent to which the Quechua language prevails in Amazonian Spanish. The results reveal that the prevalence is predominantly “low”, representing 80.0% of the sample. Likewise, a “moderate” prevalence is observed at 17.7%, while “high” and “very low” prevalence constitute 1.9% and 1.0%, respectively. While the results in the lexical aspect reveal that it is “low”, representing 74.3% of the total sample.
