Descripción
Sumario:The study analyzed the relationship between ancestral agricultural techniques and food security in the Awajún San Martín community of the Marañón River. It was a non experimental, descriptive, exploratory and correlational research, with an intentional sample of 30 families, prioritizing community leaders and Spanish speakers. Structured questionnaires with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.765 were used to measure reliability. Since no normal distribution was found in the data using the Shapiro-Wilk test, the Spearman correlation was applied. It was concluded that ancestral agricultural techniques are essential for cultural identity, agricultural autonomy and food security of the community, showing adaptability and resilience in the face of environmental changes, although they face climatic challenges and limitations in annual food availability. Its preservation is key to strengthening food self-sufficiency.
