| Sumario: | The research work aimed to study the relationships between agronomic characteristics and performance components with the grain performance per plant. For his approach, he was quantitative, prospective, predictive level and experimental research design. The target study population was constituted by 1,536 corn plants belonging to six varieties of hard yellow corn belonging to the El Porvenir of Tarapoto experimental station. The experimental design was randomly complete blocks (DBCA) with four repetitions, the sample was equally constituted by 240 plants. The data obtained were analyzed through the R and graphical interface R Studio version 4.4.1. Among the main conclusions obtained were that the agronomic variables, number of days at the beginning of male flowering, number of days to female flowering, number of days to 50% of the female flowering and cob height are independent with respect to the variable grain performance, expressed in a direct but low intensity linear relationship whose regression models do not help to explain or predict the grain performance per plant, instead the variables components of performance, long and diameter of cob, number of rows and Grains by row, showed positive and significant linear relationships, but only in cases of mazorca length and number of rows per cob, the regression analysis indicated that both variables are good to explain and predict the grain performance from the values from the values of both explanatory variables and in cases of diameter and number of grains per row are good to explain the influence of these variables but not to predict, recommending to be considered for the performance of work of intrapoblative improvement in corn, the length of mazorca and the number of rows by mazorca as criteria for indirect selection, for its good capacity for explain ability, predictability and high positive linear association with grain performance. |
