Descripción
Sumario:The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of an educational program of recreational activities on the development of mathematical notions in initial level students of the María Inmaculada de Requena 2024 educational institution. A quasi experimental design was used with pretest and posttest applied to the experimental group. and the control group. The sample consisted of 58 students, with 36 students from the experimental group and 22 students from the control group. A checklist was used to evaluate mathematical notions before and after the intervention. The results showed that the recreational activities program had a significant positive effect on the experimental group, improving scores in mathematical notions. The experimental group presented an average of 78.60 in the pretest, increasing significantly in the posttest with 108.94, which was confirmed by the Student t test (t=11.807, p-value=0.0009). Regarding the dimensions, a notable increase in quantification, classification and serialization was identified in the experimental group, while no significant improvements were evident in the control group. It was concluded that the application of the educational program of recreational activities significantly improved the development of mathematical notions in initial level students, highlighting its positive impact on the dimensions of quantification, classification and serialization.
