Maestría en Economía AgrícolaCon el objetivo de evaluar la competitividad, con la ventaja comparativa que define el nivel competitivo internacional del sector agroexportador de La Libertad, se calcularon los índices ventaja comparativa revelada (VCR), ventaja comparativa de exportaciones (VCE) y de importaciones (VCI), de agroexportaciones. Se estimó el coeficiente de tendencia (b1), para determinar los cambios de competitividad de 2011 a 2020, en dos etapas: 1) se estimaron índices por productos y 2) por categoría de productos. Los productos se clasificaron en frutas, hortalizas y derivados de caña de azúcar. Se sometió a prueba la hipótesis de competitividad de frutas y hortalizas, azúcar y arándanos, palta, uva, y mandarina. En frutas y hortalizas existen ventajas comparativas y es conveniente su especialización. Los VCE para frutas van de 1,81 (sandías) a 6,68 (arándanos), con buen desempeño competitivo. En hortalizas los VCE varían entre 4,25 (pimiento piquillo) y 7,05 (espárragos) con alto desempeño competitivo. En el azúcar de caña, el VCE fue 2,41 mientras que el VCI fue 1.85 resultando un índice neto positivo VCR: +0.56, siendo viable su especialización y exportación. Los índices de arándano, palta, uva, mandarina y azúcar crecieron: su competitividad internacional mejoró en el período estudiado. La mandarina mostró mayor tasa de crecimiento: coeficiente de tendencia b1 de +0.18 mientras que en uva fue +0.033. El espárrago, alcachofa, ají paprika, pimiento piquillo, mango y sandía, mostraron tendencia negativa, b1 entre -0.001 y -0.041, con pérdida de competitividad. Se identificó con el Diamante de Porter, que los factores que determinan la competitividad de las agro exportaciones de La Libertad son las tecnologías modernas, la inversión en investigación y desarrollo, las economías de escala, en un marco de estabilidad macroeconómica. Se recomienda estudiar la competitividad de otros productos.With the objective of evaluating the competitiveness, with the comparative advantage and international competitive level, of the agro-export sector of La Libertad, the revealed comparative advantage index (VCR), comparative advantage of exports (VCE) and imports (VCI), of agro-exports. The ECV for fruits range from 1.81 (watermelons) to 6.68 (blueberries), with good competitive performance. In vegetables, the VCE vary between 4.25 (piquillo pepper) and 7.05 (asparagus) with high competitive performance. In cane sugar, the VCE was 2.41 while the VCI was 1.85, resulting in a positive net index VCR: +0.56, with its specialization and export being viable. The indices for blueberries, avocados, grapes, mandarins and sugar grew: their international competitiveness improved in the period, with mandarins showing the highest growth rate: trend coefficient b1 of +0.18 while for grapes it was +0.033. Asparagus, artichoke, paprika pepper, piquillo pepper, mango and watermelon show a negative trend, b1 between -0.001 and -0.041 with loss of competitiveness. It was identified with the Porter Diamond, that the factors that determine the competitiveness of La Libertad's agro-exports are modern technologies, investment in research and development, economies of scale, in a framework of macroeconomic stability.
